Anti-Ragging Rules – (CAUVERY COLLEGE OF PHARMACY (CCP))

According to the Supreme Court of India, ragging is a grave crime and a criminal offence. CCP Top B Pharm college in Karnataka strongly opposes such heinous activities within the campus and has been successful in creating a ragging–free campus. Our college is committed to promoting a positive environment for its students and strongly opposes ragging. The Principal and other members of staff make up an anti-ragging cell where students are sensitized to the ill consequences of ragging and the legal measures in restraining the practice.

Being one of the responsible b pharmacy colleges in Karnataka, orientation programmes are held in the first semester and before the start of each academic year to raise awareness at CCP. Our campus and hostel management keep a close eye on the hostel and make sure that students learn to respect and accept their peers regardless of their cultural or regional differences.

Activities To Be Deemed As Ragging at CCP & The Punishment Measures

Ragging is defined as making noise disturbance, acting in a disorderly manner, or performing any act that causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological injury to a student in b pharmacy colleges in Karnataka. CCP prohibits activities that are likely to cause fear, shame, or embarrassment to a student. The activities to be avoided on the campus are-

  1. Teasing, abusing, pulling practical jokes on, or injuring a student are all examples of bullying/ragging.
  2. Asking the student to do any act or perform something out of their willingness or with force.

At CCP, anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively, or being a part of a conspiracy to encourage ragging, is subject to punishment. As per the rules of our Anti-Ragging Squad, our b pharma college in Karnataka may impose one or more of the following punishments on those found guilty:

  1. Two years’ incarceration in prison
  2. Fine upto Rs.2.5 Lakhs
  3. Rustication from the Institution.
  4. No chance of re-admission to any other Institution.
